A little wimpiness before we get started
This is the index of several accounts of my own recovery as an abuser that I've written thus far.

Information on supporting battered women
This is a posting I grabbed from the archives of a Family Health mail-list, and formatted to take advantage of the possibilities of HTML. It would be good for you to read the explanatory note I've written about this information.

True stories from those who have personal experience with abuse
This is a collection of unedited accounts of real life people who have experienced abuse. Their basic truth speaks much louder than some of the hype surrounding this issue. I collect these stories because truth is a very powerful tool in breaking through the silence and denial that maintain the abuse and violence. Submissions are always appreciated and welcome.

Some abuser recovery things I've put together
When I first began my recovery I looked around the net in vain for any kind of abuser recovery resources. I've found some, and hope to be able to provide some of my own. Someday.

Abuse section of my bookmark page
This is where links to new abuse resources will go until I have time to incorporate them into the site.

This has some Recovery related stuff that I grabbed and thought was worth keeping.
This is a set of independently written articles on the Cycle of Abuse, one from the perspective of a victim, the other of an abuser (guess which abuser).

Information for those who are leaving their abusers
Leaving the relationship may be part of the solution, but, as with all things in life, there's more to it than that.

My On-line Reading Library on Abuse
This is made up of submissions from readers on the topic of abuse, ranging from essays to book excerpts. Research papers would be appropriate for this section as well.
Abuse-free is a mail list for recovering spouse abusers I started in February of 1999. This site gives information about the list and how to subscribe.
I created Safe-l in June of 2003, after hearing from one too many abuse survivors who couldn't find a usable support resource because they were male. Safe-l is for abuse survivors, regardless of their gender or the gender of their abusers.
This is an effort to help people get useful helpful information, and to help support this website. In association with Amazon.com, I've put together a list of some books that you might find helpful if you've found this site to be helpful. I also wish to see this area grow and expand as well.

Be Real: Thoughts on returning to a former abuser
A basic plan for knowing whether returning to a former abuser is safe, and how to go about it to keep it safe. This will also have some application for those choosing to stay with an abuser, particularly in being clear with themselves about the safety of their situations.

Excellent Net-based Abuse Resources from Elsewhere
Long ago there were very few resources available on the net about abuse. That's part of why this site was created. Today, there are many more resources available. In fact, you may have found your way here from some of those resources. These resources represent a broad spectrum of viewpoints in dealing with abuse. I'm including them here based on their quality (and my available time to add them to the site, honestly), and do not necessarily endorse or vouch for everything they say. Excluding a site should not be assumed to be a lack of endorsement -- if you really want to know, ask me.
